Too Early/Too Late + Jem Doulton with Alex Ward + Polar Cat

Sad House Daddy presents the new experimental trio Too Early/Too Late plus support from Jem Doulton with Alex Ward and Polar Cat in the intimate surroundings of London’s iconic SJQ.

Too Early/Too Late is Simone Donadini (Trans Upper Egypt, Rainbow Island), Andrea Giommi (Sons of Viljems, The Glass Key, Laura Loriga) and Shama Rahman on sitar. Their sound sits somewhere between ESG-like minimalistic bass lines, repetitions à la Silver Apples, Ravi Shankar sitar sounds and Boards of Canada. This is their debut show.

Jem Doulton is a London-based musician who currently plays in Thurston Moore Group, Too Many Things, Pando Pando, Melos Kalpa, Wilkinson/Ward/Doulton and The Oscillation (and previously played with Róisín Murphy). He has released six solo albums, the latest being this year’s ‘Deal Of The Century’.

Polar Cat is the electronic/ambient project of Italian composer and musician Fabio Generali. Between ambient techno, classical minimalism, cinematic reminiscences and evocative vintage atmospheres, Polar Cat is a compendium of a musician’s musical, literary and imaginative journey – a place where electronic dance sounds and analog synths, classical and folk music memories, viola da gamba quartets, out of tune fanfares, Christmas carols, ghost stories and pirate songs find their home. Live, Fabio (electronics, synths, piano, effects) is joined by Elisabetta Del Ferro on viola da gamba and loops.
