Communal improvisational project Agile Experiments finally returns to the EFG London Jazz Festival this year led by it’s creator Dave De Rose (Mark Ronson / Electric Jalaba / Rokia Traore) alongside a stellar combination of musicians.

Providing outer worldly sonics and freshly baked earthly percussive timbres, one of the project’s most veteran contributors, Dan Nicholls (Free Movements / Strobes / Squarepusher) joins two, brand new and astonishingly powerful additions to the roster.

New to any Agile Experiments fan will be the lustrous presence of Venezuelan singer/songwriter Luzmira Zerpa (Family Atlantica / Soundspecies / Raúl Monsalve y los Forajidos) alongside the unique and highly imaginative drumming of percussionist and producer Ben Brown (Waaju / Alfa Mist / Mulatu Astatke). The quartet will perform an hour set of instantaneous creations inspired by the self-made avant-garde-step tradition. Expect myriads of heavily locked, transcendental rhythms, unreal soundscapes and the healing energy of evoking vocals.
