Champagne Funk + Jon Phonics + Sean OD
Champage Funk return to the Servant Jazz Quarters basement for a night of global grooves, soul and all-vinyl selection. Our hosts Theo and Alex will be joined by Sean OD and Astral Black head-honcho Jon Phonics for a journey through soul, jazz, house and breaks.
Jon Phonics has been making a name for himself as a producer, DJ and label head in London and beyond for the past 8 years. Founder of the record label Astral Black, he has built a platform for forward-thinking hip hop and grime productions via releases with the likes of Impey, JD. Reid and Bushido. Though known for his soul-tinged and bass-heavy productions, he’s no stranger to the record crates and we’re excited to see what disco, funk and soul goodies he’ll have in the bag.
Sean OD is a Brazilian-Irish DJ based in South-East London, specialising in Brazilian music, Afrobeat, Jazz and forward thinking electronic grooves. His collection has landed him with appearances at Dimensions/Outlook/Sunfall Festivals, Amsterdam’s Red Light Radio, a monthly show on Balamii Radio, a former residency at all-vinyl party Soul Control and regular bookings around the capital.
