Chrysalis is back with full force for a Friday night take over.

Danalogue:

returning to the CHRYSALIS with the all-Roland hardware set up in the drum machine driven, no-nonsense trio – ‘Acid Wrecking Crew’.

Through the bubbling bass lines provided by the synths synonymous with the acid movement, TB303 and SH101, and the pulsing beats of the TR808, the trio craft a new sound: blending electronic music and jazz fusion that pulls you to the dance floor. Following a teasing 45 minute set at the last CHYSALIS night, the wrecking crew felt compelled to bring back their sonic adventures to SJQ with a Friday night full length set. Featuring Mikey Chestnutt and Jordan Parry from Snapped Ankles, and guest vocalists.

TaliaBle:

TaliaBle is a rising North London based, Punk Rapper and Visual Artist who is prized as thee go to underground circus; To experience a world full of surplus WONDER, surrealism and raw stories.

TaliaBle is carving a dysfunctional yellow brick road through the underground scene proving her intention of ‘utilising music as a soundscape catalyst for imaginary world building….’. Her music is a place.

Anamikyu:

A brand new trio named after the creation Goddess, who after creating the Japanese islands decided to become human and live with the children there to create things of wonder. Anamikyu’s songs are based largely on Okinawan mythology, from the islands of south-western Japan, and showcase some gorgeous instruments:

Yuko Tsubame plays Sanshin (三線, lit., “three strings”) guitar, the guitar is heart and soul of Okinawan folk music. 

Shoko Asaga plays Taishōgoto (大正琴) a distinctive sounding combination of strings and typewriter-like buttons. 

This is at cosmic counterpoint with astrophysicist Phil MFu who plays the esoteric “sampler kadampler”.
