Tulsa-born Dylan Golden Aycock, curator of the wonderful Scissor Tail Records (Scott Hirsch/Nadia Reid/ Scott Tuma) found fine praise indeed when NPR included his own 2016 release Church Of Level Track in their end of year list for top 10 solo guitar records. As many folk guitarists are deservedly entering into mainstream consciousness, William Tyler, Ryley Walker, Steve Gunn, the next tranche of players – Chuck Johnson, Marisa Anderson, Sarah Louise- are moving up a level.
