Emmavie

Emmavie is a self taught singer/songwriter, producer and DJ from London. Specialising in what she describes as “limitless, soulful, future RnB”, her music is an amalgamation of 90s RnB influences and her love for digital audio experimentation.

Emmavie has credits across a number of artists both UK and international, including collaborations with IAMNOBODI, Budgie, ROMderful, Jarreau Vandal, Dornik, Alfa Mist, Barney Artist and Jay Prince.

She has been featured on popular culture publications such as SBTV, i-D magazine, Clash and Paper Magazine where she was listed as part of the “10 rising UK RnB acts you need to jump on”.

Emmavie’s high profile performances include support for the legendary RnB singer, Jon B and Grammy and ASCAP award winning singer/songwriter, Eric Bellinger, whom she supported at The Jazz Cafe, London. Following a number of successful collaborations with Soulection, Emmavie went on to perform as part of the Soulection Sound of Tomorrow World Tour, to a sell out audience at KOKO, Camden July 2016 and at the Roundhouse in Camden, March 2017. She was invited to perform at the Clash Magazine issue launch party where she performed an exclusive remix of her song “Murder” with collaborator, Jarreau Vandal.

To celebrate the release of the new Samsung Galaxy S8, Certified UK and O2 enlisted the help of Emmavie to join a series of shows at one of O2’s flagship stores in London. Emmavie also performed at XOYO, London with Future SNDS and Instant in Budapest with Soulclap Budapest.

After having rapidly taught herself how to DJ and having only mixed for a handful of months, Emmavie has already spun major sets at the likes of the Afropunk festival 2017, with BBZ London for the I-D magazine VIP party, Gal-dem Sugar at Miranda, Ace Hotel and on Balamii radio with Aisha Zoe on the Full English Breakfast Show. Emmavie has also secured a monthly DJ residency at Ace Hotel London where she plays four hours of her favourite picks on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night.

Her success with collaborations has lead to her music being featured on mainstream television as her song “You Love Em” with friend and close collaborator, ROMderful was featured on Oprah Winfrey’s network series, Queen Sugar.

Emmavie’s songs receive regular radio play on stations such as BBC 1xtra, Apple Music, Rinse FM, Radar Radio London, THE BEAT 103.6 FM and Dejavu and she was crowned BBC Radio 1Xtra’s “Best of British” for an unreleased song featured on her forthcoming album ‘Honeymoon’. Honeymoon will be released on US indie, Fresh Select in early 2018 with a follow up EP on ILUVLVE Records in later that year. With so many achievements already under her belt so early in her career, the future is looking very bright indeed for Emmavie.
