FEMMESTIVAL Showcase: Fleur Rouge + Kayleigh Noble + Mara Liddle
For our second FEMMESTIVAL showcase of the year, we’re all set for another night of even more unforgettable female talent, in association with the Strand Magazine. Don’t miss out on catching the rising stars of London’s music scene at Servant Jazz Quarters, while also celebrating the launch of the Strand Magazine’s latest Women’s History Month print edition.
Mara Liddle: Picture a perfect balance of pop, garage and hyperpop, spray it in pink, package it for the Tiktok generation and you’ve got Mara Liddle. Drawing inspiration from musical icons like Charli XCX, Pinkpantheress and Shygirl, her upbeat compositions offer a unique perspective on the modern life of a young woman immersed in the digital age.
In recognition of her exceptional talent, Mara Liddle was handpicked as one of BBC Introducing’s ‘Big in 2023’ artists, building upon her remarkable success in 2022. She’s graced stages across the UK, including headlining performances at festivals.
Kayleigh Noble: Dublin-born pop princess Kayleigh Noble “might just be the next big thing” according to Hot Press Magazine. Having just released her debut LP ‘Just a Girl’, and played an impressive roster of shows between both Dublin and London, Kayleigh is definitely making waves in both scenes.
Fleur Rouge: London born and French raised, FLEUR ROUGE is the new face of future-pop. Fleur’s music blurs the lines between dark, alternative beats and digital future synths to create unapologetic, femme-fatale anthems.
Taking influence from the likes of BANKS, Ashnikko and GIRLI, Fleur intertwines the quintessentially London and blunt nonchalance of Lily Allen, with some French slang for good measure. The candid, heart-on-the-sleeve lyrics of her new EP “What Makes You Think I Care?” powerfully delve into the dark undertones of our superficial age.
