Arthur Nogueira (Belém, 1988) understands music as a potential platform for great literary works in Brazil and around the world. Acclaimed as “the contemporary artist responsible for renewing the tradition of poets in Brazilian music” (Newspaper O Globo), he has recorded four albums and set to music poems by important authors, such as Antonio Cicero (Brazil), Adonis (Syria) and Rose Ausländer (Ukraine). His most recent album, “Rei Ninguém” (“King Nobody”), released in 2017, was nominated for the 19th Latin Grammy in the Best Engineered Album category. Aged 31, his songs have been recorded by great Brazilian singers, such as Gal Costa (“Sem Medo Nem Esperança”) and Fafá de Belém (“Ave do Amor”).
