James Alexander Bright
James Alexander Bright plays live to celebrate the release of his ‘Strange Folk’ and ‘Mallorca’ EPs on !K7 Records. The singer/multi-instrumentalist/producer/songwriter’s lo-fi psychedelic soul, husky croons and forwards-looking-backwards studio techniques are brought to the stage with help from Charlie Carrol on sax and Leo Wyatt on keys and bass. Having traded as “Hairy Hands” on his debut album ‘Magic’, James has taken off his metaphorical mask to create under his own name. His new songs draw back the curtain of escapism and begin to encompass the real world into his distinctive vocals.
Support comes from Hinako Omori, a musician and programmer based in London via Japan, with a love for synthesizers and anything that makes interesting sounds.
