Livia Rita is a young London/Swiss singer and artist with an inexhaustible source of creativity and devotion to music, visual art and a progressive way of thinking. She has developed her own eclectic musical style drawing on a wide range of influences and genres spanning electronic, pop, experimental, classical and new wave styles. She subverts the listeners with each song, as wild, brutal textures meet vulnerable, otherworldly
melodies in adventurous and emotional ways.

Livia Rita explores avant-garde ways of performing her music through a strong visual identity; formed of bespoke costumes and stylised movement created and designed by herself. Together, it collides into a 4D explosion of live art; a surreal live music video that straddles
fantasy and reality, taking the audience on a journey to gain ownership over the future. Livia Rita is unashamed to go to extremes by jumping into the wounds of life in the hope of discovering new meanings and aliveness.

This live show is developed at the Barbican (London) with mentoring of Lindsay Kemp and Lea Anderson. Livia Rita works with a gang of dancers and a band of three, lead by the musician Tom McLuckie.

Livia Rita’s first single SUNSCAR is a raw, sensual and impulsive surrender to uncertain futures, luring you into Livia Rita’s perception of nature’s toxic brutality. Her second single HEART TATTOO is a song dissecting new love and it’s capacity to overcome the limits of our own existence. The debut album is set for release in 2018, together with a chronicle of complementing music videos.
