Marysia Osu & afromerm
Harpist, producer and composer Marysia Osu plays her debut album “harp, beats & dreams” live with support from sound artist, producer and composer afromerm. Marysia Osu is a Polish born, London based harpist, producer and composer known for her innovative blend of classical, ambient and jazz. Osu’s work reflects a deep connection to beauty, emotion and self-expression. Her solo compositions are a blend of classical, jazz and ambient music, which reflects on her debut album “harp, beats & dreams”. The album documents her journey into music production. Osu’s body of work is entirely homemade, and an intimate dive into her inner world, composed almost as a collection of diary entries and reflections. Her composition process became a way to self-soothe and process. afromerm is the solo project of Oram award-winning composer and sound artist, Cecilia Morgan. Her work draws from contemporary, jazz, and experimental disciplines, blending electronic elements with live instrumentation, spoken and sung vocalisations, and her self-built motion-reactive instrument, Juniper, to create soundscapes that immerse us into the elemental mythology of her project.
