Mind Dance

We’re back on Sat 9th Dec, with a line up that we’re thrilled to announce! We welcome the wonderful Akiine for a very special live set. London-based but hailing from Sweden, her songs are transfixing journeys, her captivating voice gliding atop her beautiful productions. We’re looking forward to you getting lost in her perfomance in the SJQ basement. On the wheels of steel, we welcome back one of our faves, the incredible Valentine Comar. Val set the party alight and then some last time she played, and there’s no doubt she’ll be packing yet more dancefloor igniters this time round. This month there is a slight departure from our usual fundraising charity. Each Mind Dance, as you might’ve guessed from the name, raises money for Mind, but this month we will be donating what we raise to another mental health charity: Palestine Trauma Centre. PTC has done crucial, invaluable work on the ground in Gaza since it was set up in 2007, training therapists and providing a referral centre for those struggling psychologically and experiencing PTSD. It provides support for children, families and traumatised individuals in Gaza, and is in dire need of support at this moment in time. PTC staff are continuing to provide help to patients in Gaza, but their centre was damaged in an explosion a few weeks ago. As well as continuing to support the Gaza community, they will need funding to open a new clinic and have a base to continue the difficult task of healing the traumas of this ongoing conflict. You can donate by buying a ticket, donating directly to PTC via our instagram post (just show us your donation confimation on your phone when you arrive), or paying in person on the door. See you in the dance.
