Natureboy is Dave Noble, a quiet little fellow who makes music in his Oxford garden shed studio. He plays guitar, double bass, sitar plus lots of other instruments with and without strings. He sings too.
Natureboy’s sound defies easy categories and he’s not afraid to cross the musical boundaries of folk, jazz and world music. Working with many musicians over the years including acclaimed soul singer Alice Russell. They regularly perform together and have released the Natureboy song ‘Sweet is the Air‘ as a single, previously used on TV adverts.
This year Natureboy has just released his fourth album ‘Setting of the sun’ mixed at Shaken Oak and mastered by Tim Turan.
He will be performing songs from the new album with an all star band of all the original musicians who recorded on the album, including Barney Morse Brown (Duotone) – cello, Megan Henwood – vocals, Dorian Ford – piano. With a stunning rhythm section from the Brighton based Simon Russell – bass & Grant Allardyce – drums.
This will be a rare opportunity to hear Natureboy live with full band in London at such an intimate venue. He will be playing just two other dates with this line up on the mini showcase tour in Oxford and Brighton.
