Sad House Daddy presents ION + Shama Rahman & Andrea Giommi
For the occult experimentalist ION, spiritual and musical explorations are one and the same. By adopting a consecrated creative process he is able to bind together his ritualistic practices with the playful nature of sound experimentation. The elusive being symbolises the vestiges of our pagan-spiritual past, an untiring evocation of our original nature by means of multidisciplinary rite. Garbed in vestments and channelling from within the circles cast through his set design, he shimmers ardently in sustenance of the divine ancient.
Shama Rahman and Andrea Giommi have collaborated for only the past 9 months, yet they have already shared the stage 5 times playing together in several projects (Shama Rahman Band, Sons of Viljems, Too Early/ Too Late) across two countries. This time they will propose a Guitar – Sitar conversation comprising melodies and songs from their existing collaborations, and psychedelic jams that will emphasize Shama’s incredible improvisational capabilities.
