“The words, the music, the voice – all those components build such an intimate atmosphere…” – Echoes and Dust
“Exquisite songwriting…something fragile yet extraordinarily powerful” – The 405
“…the best singer-songwriter to come out of Leicester for years” – PennyBlack Music
“At his best, Morris sounds fragile, brooding and melancholic, his voice haunting. Having an impressive vocal range certainly helps, and he uses it to forge an atmosphere of quiet intensity” – Whisperin and Hollerin
Scottish-born Katie Malco writes music that sits quietly somewhere between an aching, serene sadness and a hopeful determination. Somewhere between morbid and elevating. She mourns her past and lays it out on the table for all to see, exposed with twitching nerves.
“Katie Malco has one of those voices that always transfixes” – GoldFlakePaint
“Detailing loss, anger, hope, despair and absolute joy – a piano, a voice and the most vital honesty laid down in song this year” – 405
“One of the most promising British songwriters about at the moment” – Shout For Music
